July 18th is an atmospheric study for the guitar. It explores various time-signatures and note groupings and is an effective right hand arpeggio study. There are various possibilities for right hand fingering including an option for development of the right hand little finger. The tonality is similar to Leo Brouwer's famous 'Simple Study' No.6 and July 18th may be considered as a further development of the ideas presented in this study.
